How to Make a PDF Smaller for Website Upload

Many websites, job application portals, government forms, and CMS platforms limit PDF uploads to 2-10MB. If your file is larger, you need to compress it.

Common Upload Limits

Job portals: 2-5MB (Indeed, LinkedIn, company career pages).

Government forms: 5-10MB.

WordPress/CMS: Often 2-8MB by default.

University submissions: 10-25MB.

How to Compress

Go to Compress PDF, upload your file, and try Medium compression first. If still too large, try High. Most PDFs can be reduced by 50-90%.

If Compression Isn't Enough

For very strict limits (2MB), try splitting the document into smaller parts using Split PDF and uploading separately if the platform allows multiple files.
