Most documents have a cover page and sometimes a table of contents that shouldn't be numbered. Here's how to start page numbering from page 2, 3, or any number you choose.
Steps
1. Go to Add Page Numbers.
2. Upload your PDF.
3. Set the starting number. For example, set it to 0 if you want the second page to be "1", or set it to 3 if your content starts on the third page and you want it numbered "3".
4. Choose position (bottom center, bottom right, etc.) and style.
5. Apply and download.
Common Scenarios
Academic papers: Title page + abstract unnumbered, content starts at page 1.
Reports: Cover + table of contents unnumbered, body starts at page 1.
Books: Front matter numbered separately (i, ii, iii), body starts at page 1.
